In an interview with FOX 2, a parent named Milly expressed her shock at learning about the incident through social media rather than from the daycare center itself.
According to a three-page state report, tensions among the teachers at the center led to a glass bottle shattering on the floor near the children. The report revealed that while the teachers were engaged in a disagreement outside, five children between the ages of 17 months and two years were left unsupervised inside.
As a result of the investigation, three employees were fired, and the center has been placed under “close supervision” by state regulators, leading to increased unannounced inspections. The director of the facility declined to comment on the findings of the report when approached by reporters.
