A 17-year-old boy from Plantation, Nicolas Yves Achille, has been arrested by the Broward Sheriff’s Office in connection with a shooting near a high school football game in Pompano Beach. The incident took place on October 5th around 9:45 p.m. near Blanche Ely High School, where deputies found one victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Another victim was also shot and taken to the hospital by Lauderhill Fire Rescue, with injuries reported as non-life-threatening as well.

The shooting did not occur at the football game but outside the school premises. Through investigative efforts, including a tip from Crime Stoppers, Achille was identified as the suspect. He was arrested in Fort Lauderdale after BSO investigators served an arrest warrant. Achille is currently facing two counts of attempted murder in the first degree and has been processed at the Juvenile Assessment Center.
