An arrest warrant has been issued for an Imperial man on child pornography charges. The man, Gregory Haegele, is facing serious allegations after authorities found disturbing content on his electronic devices.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about two videos containing child pornography being uploaded to Haegele’s Dropbox account. After conducting a search of his residence, investigators found a significant amount of illegal content on his devices.
Haegele reportedly confessed to viewing the videos on his account and admitted to having similar content. A forensic examination revealed a total of 371 images and 92 videos of child pornography, some of which involved bondage.
Due to the severity of the charges, the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has charged Haegele with two counts of possession of child pornography – first offense and one count of possession of child pornography – second or subsequent offense. If arrested, he will be held on a $30,000 bond.
