A gruesome discovery was made in Yonkers, New York when a body was found burning inside a shopping cart on a sidewalk near the Oak Street Bridge. This shocking incident led to further discoveries of additional remains inside an apartment in the Bronx.
Yonkers Police were alerted to the scene shortly before 2 a.m. on Monday and found the victim inside the shopping cart after the flames were extinguished. The investigation revealed that the body was merely a “dump site” despite the location being within Yonkers jurisdiction. The case was then handed over to the New York City Police Department and the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office for further investigation.
