AMETEK Abaco Systems recently introduced a new 3U VPX single-board computer (SBC) featuring the powerful Nvidia Jetson AGX Orin GPU. This cutting-edge board, known as the SBC3901 VPX SBC, boasts 12 ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores and an Nvidia Ampere architecture GPU with 2048 CUDA cores and 64 Tensor Cores, providing up to 248 TOPS of AI performance.
Designed for autonomous and embedded edge computing systems, the SBC3901 leverages Nvidia’s software frameworks for real-time GPU processing, deep learning, and AI inferencing. It comes equipped with two Nvidia v2 deep learning accelerators, PVA v2 vision accelerators, NVENC video encoder, and NVDEC video decoder, offering comprehensive AI processing capabilities. Additionally, the board features 100GbE and 25GbE data planes, as well as a 10GbE control plane for high-speed data transfer. With 64 GB of DRAM, 64 GB of eMMC internal storage, and optional 2 TB NVMe storage, the SBC3901 provides ample I/O and storage options.
Furthermore, the VPX SBC adheres to the SOSA open sensor architecture, featuring a slot profile tailored for compute-intensive applications. Built to withstand extreme conditions and comply with MIL-STD-810 standards, this board is well-suited for a variety of industries, including defense, aerospace, and industrial sectors.
