It can be dangerous to introduce new dishes on its menu. It must major worldwide Swedish company Ikea now recognize.

At the Ikea restaurants in the Uk and Ireland, Ikea just launched chicken right ‘Jerk Chicken with rice and peas’, which has now been subjected to severe criticism on the social media. Users believe that Ikea is ‘got completely lost in the woods’ for the tasty kyllingeret, who originates from Jamaica.

Swedish Ikea has made a gross error with regard to the classic caribbean law at the complete misunderstanding of what the authentic ‘rice and peas’ actually contains.

It writes multiple media including Metro

the Recipe from Ikea had properly a half a chicken roasted on the traditional Jamaica-way. But the accessory ‘rice and peas’ consisted of white rice with green peas. But anyone who just has little knowledge of the court that there are no peas in the dish, but rather kidney beans. In addition, it is usually that right also add the coconut milk and the spring onions, garlic and thyme.

And although the court also found in other variants, there is never ever green peas in madretten.

On Twitter had more users quick to express their great indignation over the failed and misinterpreted chicken right.

A user wrote the following:

‘This is Ikea’s Jerk Chicken with rice and peas, and no, thank you. I eat the not’.

another user writes:

‘the Chicken doesn’t look bad out. But the rice and peas kills my soul’.

A third writes:

‘They should have done their research properly.’

A fourth writes:

‘the Rice looks as though it has just been given first aid’.

And a fifth says, sarcastic:

‘Maybe Ikea stick to the meatballs’.

Ikea has already been out to apologize for the failed kyllingeret:

‘We are aware that our new Jerk Chicken has created a lot of publicity and also have offended some people. Our intention was to create a right which many people could enjoy. But we recognize that we might have made a mistake. We apologize, and now, we look at whether we can make the court better’, says Lorena Lourido from Ikea in the Uk and Ireland.

the Reason why Ikea in the apology writes that the court might also have offended some people, is that the court also has been accused of so-called ‘cultural appropriation’. Ikea is being accused of having used a traditional caribbean dish with the purpose to earn money without having contacted the caribbean eskperter.

A user wrote the following:

‘Jerk Chicken with rice and green peas. People can’t help to abuse the traditional food’.
