the 1.7 million Danish kroner could 18-year-old Nicolai Højgaard take with him after he finished as the number two at the European Tour event, the KLM Open.

It is his biggest result for the young stortalent.

” It has been amazing. It was not supposed, I should be here this week. I was called up on Monday evening and asked if I wanted to play and said of course, yes, says Højgaard, according to TV2.

He finished an impressive 17 under par over the four days, while only the Spanish star Sergio Garcia did it better. He used just one stroke fewer.

– This week may mean I play on the European Tour next year. It is a start of something really good. I am super happy with how it all played out. Right now I’m celebrating it with my brother, who is here this week, and my caddy.

Nicolai Højgaard won in 2018 the price as the Fund, so there are big expectations for the young player.
