Lars Michaelsen has got a new job.
From next season, the Danish sports director help Michael Valgren, Andreas Stokbro and the rest of the Team Dimension Data to win on the road.
The 50-year-old dane switches from Astana to the south african team after the new year change their name to Team NTT.
It informs Dimension Data in a press release.
Lars Michaelsen gets the title of senior sports director or Head Sports Director, which the team calls it.
over the years I have eagerly followed (team leader, eds.) Douglas Ryders team, and the various developments it has undergone, as it has established itself on the World Tour, says Michaelsen in the press release.
– I really do believe that this journey will continue, and I am happy to take this role and be a part of a continuous development of the team in the future.
Douglas Ryder believes that Lars Michaelsen, because of his experience comes to play an important role in the team’s hunt for victories in 2020.

Lars Michaelsen has before his tenure at Astana has been the sports director at Team Saxo Bank in several rounds, u.s. Radioshack and Leopard Trek.
Before he was the sports director, ran Lars Michaelsen itself as a professional cyclist from 1994 to 2007. Among other things, Festina, Francaise des Jeux and Team CSC.
along the Way it was for 11 wins. In 1995, he won the belgian endagsløb Gent-Wevelgem, and in 1997 it was to a man in the Vuelta a España.
