Soon it’s over and done with to be up to date on the latest Danish and international cinematographic releases in the program ‘the Film company’.
The popular tv program on DRK closes as a result of the substantial savings in the Danish Radio. It writes Soundvenue.
It has long been known that the DRK will be put together with DR2 as part of the massive savings plan.
But the ‘Film’, which has been running since 2012, will, therefore, not allowed to live on DR2 or other channels.
And it irks the programme host Maria Månson.
– I think it is poor that DR nedprioriterer serious filmformidling. Movies and tv-series is the branch of the culture, the people spend the most time on. So I have a hard time seeing that the DR meet their public service obligations without having to have a dedicated program that covers it, she says to Soundvenue.
She adds that according to her is inappropriate, that with the demise lose the knowledge, experience and skills, as a whole, editing for more than a decade has built.
– I can well see that ’The studio has been running long, and it has worked really well on flow tv, where it has had many loyal viewers on the DRK – and that one uses the closure of the channel to rethink the part of the kulturformidlingen. But we have not been asked or asked to be with to rethink it, and I think is stupid, says Maria Månson.
‘the Film company’ will be shown for the last time the 12. december.
