In late June selected the organization, however, to give the ambitions an extra twist, when it was decided to create one of the world’s best Counter-Strike teams for women.
to get the target closer to Copenhagen Flames signed a contract with five players, and the hard work has already borne fruit.
Already, a few months later, the team designated as the best european teams, and there are lots of prospects for the future, says Steffen Thomsen, CEO of Copenhagen Flames.
– We aim to become the world’s undisputed best team in Counter-Strike among women. In addition, we are aiming also after that in the future we should be able to compete against – and win over – herreholdene, says Steffen Thomsen.
While the ambition to be the best team in the world seems to be within reach, then it is another talk, when it comes to beat herrespillerne.
Steffen Thomsen has, however, got together a group of young women who know very well that things do not come of themselves.
– It is going to require time and not least plenty of hard work before we can achieve our ambition to become the world’s best team. We have a special focus on improving girls ‘ trainings, as well as the overall structure of the team.
– We still need to get lifted the girls ‘ tactical level and their general understanding of the game, if we are to compete against herresholdene, says Steffen Thomsen.
In the first half of the 2020 Copenhagen Flames participate in the World Cyber Games, Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) and Copenhagen Games, where the plan is to prove to the outside world, that is rooted in the ambition to become the world’s best team.

Michaela ‘Mimi’ Lintrup, Denmark: One of the most popular Counter-Strike players.
Vicky ‘Vic’ Dose, Denmark: Experienced supportspiller that ties it all together, both in and outside of the server.
Ksenia ‘Vilga’ Klyuenkova, Russia: One of the world’s most winning female players – at the same time, the team’s captain.
Alena ‘Candy’ Kuvaeva, Russia: the Team AWP-player.
Kelly Kllyve’ Verhaegen, Belgium: Lots of firepower and mainly rifles.
