An 18,000-year-old puppy has been found in Siberia.
It writes the Siberian Times, according to Science.dk.
the Puppy, which was found in the permafrost close to Indigirka, a river northeast of Jakutsk, have retained the whole of its body, snout and even knurhårene.
A team of researchers from the Swedish Centre for Palæogenetik (CPG) is to examine the puppy. Its teeth reveal that it was less than two months old when it died. The cause of death is yet unknown. the

In the summer, wrote Science.dk about a 40,000 year old ulvehoved, which was also found in Siberia. But in contrast, researchers have not yet been able to determine whether the puppy is a dog or a wolf.

It’s 18 kyrs old!
So far, we have sequenced it’s genome two 2X coverage. But we still can’t say if it’s a #wolf or a #dog. Maybe it’s the common ancestor?

Some researchers, however, have been able to determine is that the puppy is a he. They have therefore given the name ‘Dogor’, which means friend in jakutsk.
