Five people have been hospitalized with injuries after being pinned under a hunting gift voucher in the shopping center Westfield Parramatta, which is located outside of Sydney in Australia.

White, golden and silver balloons were thrown out over the crowds of people, and therein was stored a number of gift cards as a christmas surprise from the center. As the crowds gathered to get a hold of the gift cards, several toppled to the ground and the mast.
Ambulancepersonale treated 12 persons on the spot, while four men and a woman had a trip on the hospital.
– Three of the hospitalized patients had serious injuries on the chest and the neck, pain in the back as well as nausea and dizziness, said ambulanceinspektør Phil Templeman.
He said it was ‘extremely fortunate’ that no one was more seriously hurt.
the Owner of the shopping mall business Scentre Group, are now investigating the accident further.
– Our customers, partners and people’s safety in general is important to us.
– Our employees acted quickly to support customers, contact ambulance and make the place safe again. The staff still talks with the involved customers, says a spokesperson for the company.
