The former Randers-player Mads Fenger has a great success in Swedish football.

The 29-year-old midterforsvarer has since the summer of 2017 played in Hammarby, and he has now extended his contract with the Stockholm club.

His original agreement was to expire in the summer of 2020, but there are now some years on, so it will apply for the next four years.

– We are very pleased that one of Scandinavia’s very best defenders continue with us, says the team he will play for Jesper Jansson to the club’s website.

Hammarby were close to winning the Swedish championship in 2019, and Fenger had a big season in the popular Stockholm-club.

– In the course of 2019 loosened it’s really up for Mads. He was harmless, and with his pasningssikkerhed and fine defensive is he perfect for the game we will play in Hammarby.

– He is now at the level that he had when he came to us, and we see him as a very important player in our squad, ” said Jesper Jansson.

Mads Fenger was plagued by injuries in his first time in the club, and it is the reason that he so far has only been listed for 52 matches in the best Swedish series.

– I am very happy to continue on this journey with Hammarby, and the opportunity to win the group have won … is one of the primary reasons why I extended my contract, says Mads Fenger.

Before the switch to the Hammarby played three times many seasons in Randers FC, where he was the captain. He reached a total of 197 league matches for the kronjyske club.
