Several larger and smaller apes, led new year’s eve, a tragic death when a fire broke out in abehuset in the zoo in the German city of Krefeld, northwest of Dusseldorf.
A woman and her two adult daughters have now reported themselves to the police, because they fear to have started the fire, writes several German media, among others Bild.

Abehuset in the Krefelder Zoo burned out completely, and over 30 animals lost their lives. Among them five urangutans, two fladlandsgorillaer, a chimpanzee, as well as a number of smaller monkeys. Only two animals survived the 40-year-old huncimpase Bally as well as her descendant, Limbo survived.
