2019 was not anything flashy year for Nicolai Jørgensen, but the 2020 started out awesome for the former Danish national team player.
Saturday was Nicolai Jørgensen double goal scorer for klubholdet Feyenoord, which kicked off the decade started with a 3-1 victory over a danskerløst Heerenveen-crew. Jørgensen scored the goals for the 2-0 and 3-0 in the first half.
Now the dane in that it marks the beginning of a better time after a period with many injuries and upset.
– Finally, it feels good in my head and in my body. I’ve been damaged in more than four months, it must not be forgotten. When I returned, I made a few goals, but before christmas I had a huge downturn. It was important for me to start over and be completely free again – up in the head, says Nicolai Jørgensen to Fox Sports and adds:
– Two goals is a good start. I have truly missed this feeling. All the endorphins exploded in my head after the first goal. I enjoy to score goals.
In Nicolai Jørgensen’s first season in Dutch football ended he as the league top scorer with 21 goals. In this season it’s been for the four goals for the dane, who because of injuries have only been on the field in 11 league matches.
The former FCK-player has a contract with Feyenoord until the summer of 2022.
