A terrifying rescue of a young woman was caught on camera by the local police in Michigan USA.
Korissa Miller had fallen through the ice on a frozen lake, while she was out and fish.
the Video of the rescue was shared on police Facebook page but it has meant a ridicule of the woman.
Several users on the social media would rather comment on Korissas weight, than that her life was saved.
It was otherwise a somewhat dramatic incident the police went out to.
Korissa Miller had been fishing for herself, when she suddenly fell through the ice. A friend to the woman scoffed, she had fallen in and tried to pull her up.
however, not because Korissa Miller’s body had been numb from being in the icy water, and she could not move.
Two fishermen also tried to help, but they had to settle with keeping her head above water, so she is not drowned in the water.
Korissa has even commented on the police lookup, after she saw that many also commented on the fact that she was crazy to go out on the ice.
‘My knee slammed into the dock, and I hit the ice. It took only a few seconds before the ice shattered, because I, as many of you as would like to point out, is a great woman. The place where I fell in, was very deep, and I had to really hold onto to keep me alive,’ she wrote.
According to Korissa it took only two minutes, before she had lost all feeling in the body, and she soon began to lose consciousness.
Fortunately, there were both police and firefighters to present after 15 minutes, and got the woman up from the water.
For the local newspaper, the Detroit Free Press has Korissa commented on how people’s negative comments have affected her.
‘After going through something so traumatic, where I almost died, so is it here, what people have to say. I think not, people have no conscience anymore. People have no idea that I have been through a weight loss’, it sounded in the interview.
the Police have written out subsequently that Korissa is feeling better and that they warn everyone against fish on the ice, and that one must always have a companion, if one embarks on isfiskning.
