The Women and Minors Team (EMUME) of the Civil Guard has arrested in the municipality of Algaida, in Mallorca, for a crime of pedophilia for allegedly turning his stepdaughter into his sexual slave.
As reported by the Civil Guard in a statement, the detainee is a man, a 49-year-old Majorcan with no police record. He has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of trafficking in human beings for sexual purposes.
It all started, they point out, in 2015, when the arrested man traveled to an African country posing as a philanthropist who wanted to marry a woman and thus give her and her daughters a better life in Spain.
After moving to Mallorca with his new family in 2019, the man settled with one of his 12-year-old stepdaughters and rented an apartment for his wife in another town. He then alleged before her, according to the Civil Guard, that this was the way to “take better care of the girl” and thus be able to more easily bring the minor’s other sisters from Africa to Spain.
With this situation and taking advantage of the trust granted by the minor’s mother, the man sexually exploited the minor by having her “under submission and control at all times.”
It should be noted that the agents were able to verify that this person threatened the minor with returning both her and her mother to their country, so she obeyed out of fear of disappointing her family and not being able to give a better future to her sisters.
After some time, when the girl learned that her stepfather was beginning the process to bring her sisters, she reported this situation to the Oblate Sisters, known for their work on behalf of the most disadvantaged women, who reported the facts to the Guard. Civil.
The agents proceeded to arrest the suspect and search his home, where they also found numerous hard drives and computer storage devices that indicate that he was dedicated to the distribution of child pornography, as well as the probable production of videos of this type.
