On March 23, the 28-year-old comedian will be heading to space aboard Blue Origin’s next mission.
Blue Origin, the company that specializes in space exploration, was founded by Jeff Bezos. Marty Allen, Sharon Hagle and Marc Hagle, Jim Kitchen, George Nield, and Jim Kitchen will also be on board the rocket.

Allen is an investor and the former CEO at Party America, a chain of retail stores, as well as the former CEO at California Closet Company.
SpaceKids Global was founded by Sharon Hagel in 2015. It is a non-profit that inspires and empowers girls to excel in STEAM+ education. Marc Hagle, her husband, is the president and CEO at Tricor International. Tricor International is a residential- and commercial property development company.
Jim Kitchen is an entrepreneur and teacher who has traveled to all 193 U.N. countries. He has also dreamed of going into space since he was a child, when he saw the Apollo rocket launch in Florida.
George Nield, the founder and president of Commercial Space Technologies, aims to support, facilitate and promote commercial space activities. He was also the Flight Integration Office manager for NASA’s Space Shuttle Program.
The fourth human flight of the New Shepard program is this one. It was previously the first to take Mark Bezos and Oliver Daemen , an 82-year old aviation pioneer, and Wally Funk, 18 years old, to space in July 2021. Funk was the oldest person to reach space. A subsequent Blue Origin flight took 90 year-old actor William Shatner, to space.
Shatner’s October 2020 flight had three other passengers.
Another celebrity who took advantage of the Blue Origin flight to space was Michale Strahan. In December 2021, Michale Strahan joined five other on a flight.
According to a news release, the launch of March 23 is scheduled for 8:30 AM CDT from Launch Site One in West Texas.
The release states that each astronaut aboard NS-20 will be carrying a postcard to Space on behalf of Club for the Future’s Blue Origin’s foundation. This program, called Postcards to Space, allows students to access space on Blue Origin rockets. The Club’s mission, it seems, is to encourage future generations to take up STEM careers for the benefit of Earth.
