On Tuesday, a jury found Todd and Julie Chrisley guilty on fraud charges. This includes tax evasion schemes that went on for many years.

They were best known for their USA Network series “Chrisley Knows Best” and were indicted on wire fraud, conspiracy bank fraud, and conspiracy to defraud America.

The couple were accused of using a production company to conceal income to the Internal Revenue Service.

To avoid state charges, the Chrisleys settled with Georgia Department of Revenue in 2019. They also paid a $147.944.75 fine. They also received refunds of more than $66,000 from the tax years 2013 to 2016.

A request from NBC News for comment was not immediately answered by an attorney for the Chrisleys. Bruce Morris, Todd Chrisley’s attorney, said to The Associated Press that he plans to appeal.

USA Network announced that the reality series featuring the couple was renewed for its 10th Season in May, even though they were scheduled to go on trial at federal court that month.

Representatives of the network didn’t immediately respond to NBC News’s request for comment.

Todd and Julie Chrisley put themselves and their children front and center when they premiered their 2014 show.

Chase and Savannah Chrisley were the parents of two children. Their spin-off series “Growing Up Chrisley” aired three seasons on USA Network. The series was renewed for a fourth season by E!
