A member of the House GOP leadership endorsed a New York congressional candidate. He recently posted a Facebook message claiming that the mass shootings at Uvalde (Texas) and Buffalo were false flag operations.
Carl Paladino is a Buffalo businessman who was a former candidate for governor. He posted a conspiracy-laden message from another person, casting doubt on the authenticity of the shootings at the Buffalo supermarket and Uvalde elementary schools. Rep. Elise Stefanik, New York’s No. 3 Republican, has endorsed Paladino. Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York, the No. 3 Republican in Congress, has endorsed Paladino. He is running to fill the current seat held by GOP Rep. Chris Jacobs. Jacobs recently announced that he would not be seeking a re-election after expressing support for a federal assault weapon ban. The 23rd Congressional district includes Buffalo suburbs.
Stefanik posted on Friday that he was proud to endorse Carl Paladino, a friend of his in NY-23. “Carl is both a job creator and a conservative outsider who will tirelessly fight for the people in New York’s fight to save America First.”
NBC News reached out to Paladino’s campaign team and Stefanik’s offices for comment.
“In almost all mass shootings including the most recent horrendous Buffalo Tops Market and Texas school shootings there are strange occurrences which are never fully explained,” the Facebook post stated before claiming that the goal was to take away guns from Americans.
False flag operations are when one side commits an act in order to make it seem that the other side did it. This is often done for political reasons.
Buffalo News reached Paladino on Tuesday for comment. He denied that he had ever posted the text to his Facebook Page.
“I told my secretary that it should be removed. It was terrible, and I wouldn’t write anything like that,” Paladino said to the newspaper. He also stated that he didn’t know how the post ended up on his page.
Paladino stated, “I don’t even know how Facebook works.”
This post was made shortly after a House Republican claimed that the Uvalde gunman was transgender. Rep. Paul Gosar, Arizona, claimed that the gunman was a “transsexual leftist illegal alien” in a now-deleted tweet.
