Foo Fighters announced tribute concerts to Taylor Hawkins (the band’s drummer).

The band posted two dates on their Instagram account. The first show is scheduled for September 3rd in London and the second for September 27th in Los Angeles.

Hawkins, who was 50 years old, died March 31 in a Chapinero hotel north of Bogota. He was fifty years old.

Official cause of death has not been disclosed. According to Colombian authorities, Hawkins was carrying 10 substances at the time his body was found.

The band stated that the show was for “our dear friend…our beloved brother”.

After the announcement of the shows, Alison Hawkins posted a statement to Hawkins Twitter account. Hawkins’ name was trending Wednesday on Twitter.

“My deepest gratitude and admiration go to the worldwide Foo Fighters community as well as Taylor’s fans for the overwhelming love shown by each of you. Alison Hawkins stated in the statement that her family and I have been greatly comforted by your kindness during this time of grief.
