Robert Brantley was driving along the backroads in northeast Louisiana Tuesday when something caught his attention. He was traveling at 40 mph as he approached the shooting range. But he thought he saw a kitten by the side of the road.

He wasn’t sure, so he turned the car around and returned to his car to find out. In an Instagram video, Brantley walks towards a single gray and white tabby kitten.

Brantley calls towards the kitten, “Look at aEUR”, kitty, cat.

Brantley grabs the kitten just as three other white kittens appear in the grass. It didn’t stop there. After the first, there were 12 more kittens that emerged from the grass. They fought off the man who claimed it was a single kitten.

“Oh, no! There’s a whole EUR” Oh, my goodness! I cannot take you all. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness, there’s more! Brantley declares, “We got a kitten problem!” in his first video. “Who would do that? I thought I was saving one. Hot diggity dog

Needless to mention, Brantley was busy and didn’t make it to the range on that day.

NPR told him that he was not prepared to meet the kittens. “I was just overwhelmed.”

According to the 37-year old, it was a wave emotion as he realized that someone likely left the kittens abandoned on the side of the road when they were too old to care for them.

He then began the difficult task of transporting the cats in his Honda hatchback.

“When I opened the front door and began to put them in, they started jumping out. He said that if I threw one in, three would run away. They would not let go of my ankles. Finally, I rolled the windows down and shut a door to get them inside.

Brantley returned home with his baker’s dozen kittens. Brantley stated that thousands of people offered to adopt the kittens from around the globe after the initial video went viral on social media.

Most of the litter has been taken care of by now, with the exception of two kittens who need extra attention. A veterinarian will be stopping by Thursday night to assist them.

He said, “We found some people that are good and want them. I know they’re all good people. They’re not doing any harm with them.” “We haven’t given any of them away yet, aEUR,” they are probably too young.

Brantley continues to post photos of the kittens’ adventures on his Instagram account, including playtime outside and bath time. Scout is the name Brantley gave the kitten.

Brantley stated that the reaction was overwhelming positive.

He said, “It’s amazing, to be truthful with you, that so much people reach out to help and there are a lot people in the world who want to do good.” “I work in the gun business, and some people have taken that negative. Many people have said things like “Wow, that’s amazing!” which I am very grateful for. “I’m amazed you’re not so violent” or “You still have compassion and all that stuff.” ”

Brantley hopes that people take away his story’s compassion and generosity.

He said, “That’s kinda my thing. It’s just that I want people to understand that regardless of where you are and what you see in the world. There’s still lots of people aEUR”, not about him aEUR”, doing good things for recognition.
