Police Monday announced that two people were arrested in the shooting death of Slim 400, a rapper from Inglewood, California on Dec. 8.
Officials said that Michael Lanell Terry (33), of Los Angeles and Tamra Lynn B, 42, both of Inglewood were arrested last week.
Terry was arrested Monday for murder and felon in possession. The Los Angeles County District Attorney filed an accessory charge against Bell.
The D.A. The D.A.’s office didn’t immediately respond to a request to confirm the filings.
It was not clear whether either of them were being represented by a lawyer. The L.A. County Public Defender’s Office didn’t immediately respond to a request.
Police said that Slim 400, real name Vincent Cohran was shot and killed while trying to get out of a car in the neighborhood east of SoFi Stadium. This stadium is home to the NFL’s Rams & Chargers.
Authorities said that the body of the rapper was discovered in the street next to a residential driveway. He was taken to the hospital and declared dead.
Slim 400 was most closely associated with rapper YG. He collaborated on several releases with him. In recent years, he had worked with Young Dolph, Lil Yachty and other hip-hop superstars.
Slim 400 claimed he survived a drive by shooting in 2019.
The rapper launched his website and clothing line in November.
Terry was released on bail at $3,025,000 according to Inglewood police. Bell was released at $1,000,000.
