CHICAGO — Police say that a person opened fire on two Chicago men during a verbal dispute, killing one and injuring three others.

Police stated that the five victims were leaving a business at 1:45 a.m., when the person with whom they were involved in a dispute opened fire with a gun.

Police said that two men in their 20s died at a hospital. Two other men were also injured along with a fifth. According to reports, the wounded were in good health at the time.

Police said that no one was taken into custody and didn’t release any details about the suspect shooter. According to media reports, the scene of the shooting occurred near a Chicago Fire Department station.

This shooting follows a spate of deadly violence in Chicago over the past few years. It also follows other shootings in the area, including two shootings outside a fast food restaurant that left seven people injured and left two dead, as well as a shooting that claimed the life of a teenager in Millennium Park.
