The MotoGP World Championship starts this weekend in Qatar. The championship will begin with Marc Márquez getting familiar with his new bike, a Gresini Racing MotoGP Ducati, after eleven years at Honda. In addition, his teammate will be his brother Álex Márquez.
“The ambition is the same as in 2013. If I am here it is because I believe I have the opportunity and the level to fight for the top 5,” was Marc Márquez’s declaration of intentions at the launch of the Italian satellite team of Ducati, along with his brother and his new boss, Nadia Padovani, widow of Fausto Gresini and owner of the structure.
In addition, Pedro Acosta makes his debut in the premier class aboard KTM, while Pecco Bagnaia and Jorge Martín start as favorites to win this season’s champions. If he wins the Italian, he would get his third consecutive title.
