Carla Vall, Paula Bonet’s lawyer, numbers four women who have contacted her to report having been a victim of the same man accused of harassing the Valencian artist.
This is how he explained it on his Twitter account, where he reports that there are three other women allegedly victims of harassment by Víctor G.T., who already has a second open case for harassment against another woman for very similar events.
The trial, held on Friday behind closed doors at the criminal court number 10 of Barcelona, ??in the Ciutat de la Justícia, put both the artist and the alleged stalker in the spotlight, who was able to put a face and therefore that several women have decided to get in touch.
One of them, the photographer Lidia Vives, exposed her case on Twitter on Saturday: “Paula’s stalker is someone with that kind of recurring attitude with more women. It is not an isolated case and it is very important to know that. It is someone who follows a pattern. Which means that he will repeat that behavior and that, seeing himself unpunished, it will go further. I hope that the judge bears that in mind”, he assures,
The photographer calls the young man “disturbed obsessive” and does not hide her desire to “lock him up”. In addition, she accompanied her statement with screenshots of various social networks in which Víctor G.T. He sends him “aggressive and disturbing” messages, although he clarifies that his case has “no point of comparison” with that of Paula Bonet because she did not verbalize direct threats.
The architect Gemma Barricarte has also explained her experience on her networks. “I have been following the Paula Bonet harassment case for a long time. It is incredible to have to endure such violence. I often wondered what kind of guy was capable of reaching such sinister extremes. What I did not know was that he went through the faculty of architecture and that also harassed me”.
Barricarte confesses to having connected the dots after seeing Lidia Vives’s Twitter thread. “Seeing that his name was Victor, he crossed my mind, but I quickly thought: it can’t be. When I saw Lidia’s thread I was very amazed,” he says.
For its part, the defense, represented by the lawyer Sergi Mercé, asked for acquittal on Friday at the trial and alleged as defense an “erotomanic delusional mental disorder, which consists of believing that someone in a higher stage has fallen in love with you”.
In the case of Paula Bonet, the Prosecutor’s Office requests for V.G.T. three years in prison and a fine for the crimes of coercion and threats, as well as a fine of 4,800 euros for a continued crime of breach of precautionary measure.
The private prosecution, for its part, asks for a total of four years in prison for the same two crimes, with a fine of 8,640 for repeatedly skipping the restraining orders against the victim.
