Last night, 112 firefighters rescued the two occupants of a vehicle that had become trapped by snow on a forest track in Cillorigo de Liébana, specifically the one that goes from Bejes to Jitu Escarandi.
This is a couple from Vigo who, following the GPS indications, had mistakenly entered this track and their car was trapped by the amount of accumulated snow.
The firefighters entered by 4×4 to an area located two kilometers from the couple and, from there, they continued on foot to the exact point where they were.
Afterwards, they returned with them to the vehicle and took them to Tama, where they looked for lodging. Meanwhile, his car was left at the scene waiting to be removed.
