Coldplay has surprised fans by announcing a fourth concert in Barcelona. Yesterday, the British band greatly appreciated the interest of their fans in their next tour and added new dates in different cities, including the Catalan capital. The new date will be May 28, again, at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. Promoter Live Nation has announced that this will be “the fourth and final concert”.

The announcement has come during the ticket sale, which began this Thursday at 10 am. In less than five minutes since its announcement, more than 350,000 people have queued up to get a ticket for this new date. Tickets went on sale this morning, although a pre-sale was organized last Wednesday. Live Nation’s website was completely crashed after more than 80,000 people tried to connect at once to purchase tickets during the pre-sale. A similar situation has occurred today during the general sale. At 10 am there was a virtual queue of more than 300,000 people to access the website and tickets at prices higher than expected, 150 euros on average. Many of the group’s followers have turned to their social networks to echo the situation.

The promoter of the concert has not yet indicated if there are any tickets on sale for the Barcelona concerts, so many fans are still connected despite occupying the last positions in the virtual queue. In addition, many of them do not know what type of tickets are still available, and it is possible that only the most expensive tickets are available.
