Mario Vaquerizo is one of the most popular faces on television. Alaska’s husband has been immersed in his musical career for years leading the group Nancys Rubias, with which he has managed to publish six albums.

However, the singer began to gain popularity thanks to the MTV program Alaska and Mario. Since then, the artist has not stopped working on the small screen, becoming a key figure for many television programs, such as TardeAR, where he currently collaborates from Monday to Friday.

In addition, the singer is also participating in the latest edition of El Desafío, the extreme challenge program on Antena 3 presented by Roberto Leal. In the midst of his busy work life, the collaborator has taken time to visit his great friend Vicky Martín Berrocal’s podcast, Alone with…, where the singer wanted to open up about some painful aspects of his life, such as the loss of his brother.

During the first minutes of the interview, the artist confessed “to be very proud of himself.” “I say this with all the humility in the world. “I am happy with how life has treated me and how I am,” he declared. Of course, Mario Vaquerizo assured that when he was little he had many complexes. “I was a very self-conscious child and I have been until I was in my twenties. He was a chubby boy,” he said.

“Now, at 49 years old, I look more handsome than ever, and I am in favor of cosmetic surgery. When I was in my thirties I had liposuction (…) I take good care of myself, now I’m hooked on the endorphins, I love that moment of happiness when you leave the gym,” he explained.

Furthermore, the singer of Las Nancys Rubias commented that his parents had always been very attentive to him following the death of his brother. “There is nothing worse in life than losing a child,” the presenter stressed. “My brother was run over by an ambulance in Madrid,” revealed the artist, who also assured that it was a very hard moment for his parents. “It is the most unnatural thing that can happen.

We are all predisposed to see our parents die, not the other way around. And unfortunately it happens many times,” he asserted. Their relationship was a real roller coaster because “they were very different,” but just before he died they became closer. “I was very shy as a child and he was “the bully.” We grew and the roles were exchanged. And then the last three years were about uniting us (…) He left at the best time,” he declared.
