The circus is constantly invented and reinvented. From the glitter-glitter circus to the most groundbreaking proposals, everything goes into this unique art, and everything has its audience. A contemporary circus show that combines humor and human acrobatics is now coming to the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya.

On the stage of the TNC Workshops room, seven artists present INO, the show of the French company Ino Kollektiv. “Seven women do not weigh much in this world – they say -. So we thought: ‘What if we stack up?'”. And this is what this collective does in the piece.

“INO is us, dressed in various layers of social conventions, a bit like everyone else. Layers that bother us and don’t leave us free to move. With them, we immediately realize that enduring social pressures is more expensive than bearing the weight of other people. Then we grab each other by the seams and strip. We hold each other: we carry each other, support each other and carry each other. Simply because it’s what we want to do, together”, declare the artists and creators.

The show refers, without words and with a sense of humor, to the fight for female liberation, through acrobatics performed by women. The seven performers embark on a journey in which the layers weigh, but soon they will be caught at the seams and come off. Ino Kollektiv will perform in the Workshops room until March 22.
