The Court of Instruction number 6 of Córdoba is investigating a total of seven people, including a Civil Guard agent, arrested last week, and six businessmen, accused of the alleged commission of crimes of bribery, document falsification and prevarication in a case of alleged rigging of works contracts.
This has been confirmed by sources close to the case and reported by Diario Córdoba, while those investigated are pending to testify in court, although they have already done so before the Armed Institute, which has released them, as reported by the Court. Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA).
Meanwhile, the Civil Guard Command has agreed to remove the arrested agent from his duties, while at the same time they are waiting for the judicial authority to communicate the situation of the agent to analyze the measures to be taken.
Specifically, the person investigated is a sergeant who was in charge of maintenance tasks and, in this area, he took on issues related to the hiring that was carried out to work at Benemérita facilities. He has been detained by agents of the Internal Affairs Service (SAI) of the Civil Guard.
In this regard, the events under investigation have supposedly occurred since 2022 and the Command has uncovered the case by detecting irregular conduct and bringing it to the attention of the Prosecutor’s Office, which has urged the opening of an investigation by the Internal Affairs Service of the Armed Institute.
