Minor impact this Friday from the Vueling cabin crew strike. The airline is operating 507 flights normally, 84% of those it had scheduled throughout its network in Spain. In addition, preventively, Vueling had already canceled 94 flights that were not protected by the minimum services.
After the days of strikes began on November 1, the company has been offering several alternatives in advance for those customers whose flights have been cancelled.
As the company has detailed in a statement, 96% of affected buyers have already been relocated or have requested the bonus or refund. That is, only 4% of customers are pending to choose one of these two options.
A large part of the impacts are focused on the airport of the Catalan capital, where Vueling has its main base located. Of the 186 scheduled flights, 148 will operate throughout the day, which means that 80% will operate.
As for the rest of Spain, the initial plans will be fulfilled by 89%, while international flights on this day plan to operate 84%.
The strikes started on November 1, when the Stalva union called for cabin strikes to demand better wages. They take place every Friday, Sunday and Monday until January 31, 2023, in addition to the next December 6, 8, 24 and 31; and January 5.
