Mediaset has just published a forceful statement after the tense confrontation between Risto Mejide and the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, on social networks this past Wednesday. The discussion began as a result of the statements made by the presenter about the case of the partner of the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, in the Cuatro Todo es Mentira space.

A point of view that did not convince the Minister of Transport, who within hours decided to publish a tweet attacking the program and the new Director of Communication of Mediaset, Sandra Fernández, and in which he assured that the program team had been influenced by a call from the upper echelons of the Ayuso government.

”I hope you explain Miguel Ángel Rodríguez’s call yesterday to your content manager. And how he told you that Ayuso had to be defended. No bully scares me, no matter how many television shows they have. With me you click in bone,” wrote Óscar Puente on the same social network.

The Mediaset presenter did not hesitate for a second to respond through his social networks, but he also did so live on Todo es Mentira. ”There may be people who disagree with me and that is precisely the beauty of this program. The funny thing, Mr. Puente, is that there is no single thought. I’ve been working in this house for 17 years and I still haven’t known the day that someone has called to say ”say this” (…) Whether you like it or not, this program and I are going to continue talking about everything that you like. Damn,” he declared.

One day after these statements, the audiovisual group shared a statement on its X profile (previously called Twitter) in which they clarified all the controversy that had arisen. ”In response to the accusations by Minister Óscar Puente on the social network , have and will have the presenters, journalists, collaborators and workers who participate in each of our programs,” the statement stated.
