The Barcelona director Carla Simón, winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlinale last year with Alcarràs, will be part of the international jury of the next edition of the Berlin International Film Festival, a team that will be chaired by the American actress Kristen Stewart.

The management of the Berlinale has announced today all the members of the jury, which will also include the Romanian director Radu Jude, Gold winner in 2021 with his satire Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn; Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani; the German director Valeska Grisebach; the American filmmaker and producer Francine Maisler and the Chinese filmmaker Johnnie To.

The team led by Stewart will be responsible for distributing the Bears and other main prizes in the official competition section, including the Spanish 20,000 species of bees, by Estíbaliz Urresola Solaguren, and the Mexican Tótem, by Lila Avilés.

Likewise, the contest has announced the late-minute addition of the animated film Art college 1994, by the Chinese Liu Jian, in the official competition section, which adds up to a total of 19 titles.

The Berlinale will open on February 16 with the screening, out of competition, of the romantic comedy She came to me, directed by Rebecca Miller and starring Anne Hathaway, Peter Dinklage and Marisa Tomei.
