Junts per Catalunya reported this Saturday that it has already held four meetings in Switzerland with the PSOE in the negotiation space agreed upon in the agreement for the investiture of Pedro Sánchez.
Carles Puigdemont’s party, in a statement, highlights that both delegations “have valued the approval of the Amnesty law, which was one of the conditions agreed upon to be able to address the resolution of the political conflict.”
“The approval of the law will allow the parties to launch work teams in the two major agreed areas [economic and political], which will be added to those that already exist in the area of ??the Catalan language and the delegation law. of powers in immigration matters, and ensure compliance with the Brussels agreement”, adds Junts.
Before Christmas, the first meeting of this space was revealed, which was held in Geneva or its surroundings and just after, the name of the international verifier of the agreements, the Salvadoran diplomat Francisco Galindo Vélez, was revealed.
Since then, from JxCat they have always said that the meeting space is held as planned, with discretion and secrecy, and they have even been proud of it at times because of it in contrast to the dialogue table between governments that Esquerra agreed with the socialists.
Until now, information on the meetings held by the party with the PSOE in Geneva had been avoided. However, in a pre-electoral context, due to the Parliament elections on May 12, it has emerged that four meetings have already been held.
