A woman has been shot dead by her ex-partner in the Malaga municipality of Pizarra in a possible case of sexist violence, as confirmed by police sources.
The event, which the Civil Guard is investigating, would have occurred last night in the middle of the street. After committing the crime, the man committed suicide.
According to the Ser network, the events occurred on Lealtad Street in the aforementioned Malaga municipality. Apparently, the victim had received two of the three shots that the aggressor fired at her, and they hit her in the chest, causing her death on the spot.
The third of the shots hit the facade of a house located about 40 meters from where the crime occurred.
The victim, 49 years old, and the aggressor, 52 years old, had been separated for a decade and now the woman had started divorce proceedings. The couple had two children together, ages 16 and 23.
The first indications indicate that the man would have used an assault weapon to commit the crime and then end his life.
There were no previous complaints between the two.
If confirmed, this would be the sixth case of sexist violence in 2024
