A didactic proposal on the number 3, “Tri, three little falls in one”, made by the artist José Gallego for the commission of the Convent of Jerusalem, has been the winner of the Special section of the Children’s Fallas of Valencia in 2023.

The councilor for Festival Culture and president of the Junta Central Fallera (JCF) has read the verdict of the jury, which has also awarded the falla of the Convento de Jerusalén the second prize for Wit and Grace.

Second prize went to the Duque de Gaeta falla for “…Y punO”, by Mario Pérez, who also won first prize for Ingenuity and Grace, while Gayano Lluch’s commission was in third place with ” Elementary”, by Sergio Alcañiz.

In fourth place was Espatero-Ramón y Cajal with “Raíces”, by Fernando Foix, which also added the third prize for Ingenuity and Grace, while the fifth prize went to Maestro Gozalbo-Conde de Altea for “Azul”, by Sergio Love.

“Tri, three little falls in one” is a proposal about 3, a magical number, which is present in numerous facets of our lives, such as the three primary colors, the sides of a triangle, the three wise men, the three musketeers or the three sad tigers that eat wheat in a wheat field.

This first prize achieved by the artist José Gallego adds to the two golds obtained in 2017 and 2021, in this same demarcation, while Convento Jerusalén thus adds its fifth prize in the highest category of children’s faults, after those obtained in 1997, 2009, 2017 and 2021.
