The AP-7 motorway was closed at around 4:45 p.m. this Sunday near Vendrell (Tarragona) in order to remove a truck that crashed on Saturday night, and queues of more than 6 kilometers have accumulated.
The withdrawal has led to the closure of 2 of the 3 lanes of the road in the direction of Barcelona this Sunday afternoon, reports the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT) in a publication in X.
In Saturday’s accident, the truck driver died after colliding with a crane and overturning, and three other people were injured.
The Generalitat Firefighters report that the rescue of the deceased will end when the truck, which has been left on a slope next to the highway, has been removed.
