In The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we can see some of the corners of the Plaza Mayor in Ourense, in a series of photographs taken at dusk.

We are in the center and monumental heart of the city, where we will be struck by its sloping floor, considered a real rarity among the main squares in Spain.

The old Plaza del Campo houses the Town Hall, the work of Queralt that occupies the only side without arcades. Next to it, we can contemplate the majestic Old Episcopal Palace.

The other three sides are the arcades that form the Espolón, an old promenade of the nobility today converted into an area of ??lively terraces.

Around the square there are noble houses from the 18th and 19th centuries, including one by Vázquez Gulías adorned with tiles, a sample of modernist architecture.

Numerous festive activities take place in the square throughout the year, as well as the second-hand flea market and the antique market that takes place on the first Sundays of the month.
