The Minister of Health of the Generalitat, Manel Balcells, explained this Friday that Catalonia will vaccinate the child population against the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), the cause of most bronchiolitis, and adds to the announcement made by Galicia and Madrid.
“It is a measure that we have planned, that we will announce in a timely manner,” said the minister in an attention to the media during his visit to Vielha i Mijaran (Lleida) when asked about the Galician announcement.
Balcells has said that they have “everything prepared” to be able to vaccinate the child population against RSV, as well as Health plans to introduce the flu vaccine to children between six months and five years of age.
