The National Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in Valencia accused of having raped a minor in the parking lot of a supermarket. The events occurred last Monday in the Torrefiel neighborhood in broad daylight when the attacker penetrated a 16-year-old girl against his will.
Victim and attacker met that same day. As reported by police sources in a statement, the minor went with a friend to the Marxalenes park and later two more young people joined them, among whom was the now detainee.
At one point, her friend left and she stayed with the two strangers with whom she went to a grocery store to buy.
After leaving the premises, one of them took her to the supermarket loading and unloading dock area, which was located in the back of the supermarket, where he sexually assaulted her. The victim tried to escape the attack, but the man forcibly penetrated her.
The minor tried to get away from her attacker on numerous occasions and shouted for help, which alerted several passers-by who were the ones who rebuked the perpetrator of the events and thereby motivated their escape.
The agents of the UFAM Investigation Group were aware of the facts and began the investigations that allowed the identification of the alleged perpetrator, who was arrested this Friday.
