The Municipal Police of Madrid have rescued a corn snake that had gotten into the car of a driver who was traveling in the capital on the A-4 highway.
As reported by the Corps, the intervention took place around 9:45 p.m. this Saturday at kilometer 5 of the aforementioned road, when the woman alerted the agents of the Special Services Police Station about the discovery of the reptile.
Once there, and upon verifying the veracity of the facts, they requested the collaboration of agents from the Environmental Police Station, who rescued the animal and removed it from the vehicle.
The reptile was transferred to the Wild Animal Recovery Center (CRAS), dependent on the Environment Department of the Community of Madrid and identified as a corn snake.
This species of reptile, which can reach one and a half meters in length, is neither poisonous nor dangerous to humans, making it one of the most common species to keep in captivity.
