Agents of the Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a 23-year-old young man on Tuesday for his alleged relationship with the violent death of a 45-year-old man in Valls, Tarragona.

As explained by the Catalan police, the events occurred at approximately 5:15 p.m. when the Mossos were requested to go to a local address due to the discovery of a corpse. The first crews that have arrived at the place have verified that inside the home was the corpse of a man, with signs of violence.

After observing the possible scene of the crime, the agents have initiated the first investigation efforts that have led to the arrest of a man, presumably related to the events. The Criminal Investigation Division of the Camp de Tarragona Police Region has opened an investigation to clarify what happened.

For its part, the ACN has advanced this afternoon that the deceased was a drug addict, had been in search for a few days and could have some link to drug trafficking.

Likewise, members of the Guàrdia Urbana have cut off access to the street where the body was found to facilitate the work of the investigators and around 9:00 p.m., the funeral services have removed the lifeless body from the place.
