Coherence, cohesion, presentation and grammatical, lexical and spelling correction will account for 10% of the mark for the new selectivity (EBAU) of 2025 and there will be a single exercise model for each subject.

This is one of the novelties of the draft royal decree that regulates the requirements for access to official undergraduate university courses, advanced by El País and to which the Efe agency has had access.

It will be the first EBAU aligned with the latest educational reform (Lomloe, or better known as the Celaá law), which places special emphasis on the competence approach: students must be able to apply knowledge, not just memorize the bear. Changing the way subjects are taught will also change the way they are assessed.

The basic characteristics of the university entrance exam from 2025 are that the exercises will have a competency-based design that will allow checking the degree of achievement of the specific competencies of the subjects established by the new Lomloe curriculum.

The exercises will require creativity and critical thinking skills from the students, reflection and maturity in the written resolution of a series of questions or tasks appropriate to the skills examined.

In addition, the questions or tasks will be contextualized in artistic, scientific, humanistic and technological environments and, preferably, in environments close to the students’ lives.

Each exercise will last ninety minutes and may be structured in different sections, which, at the same time, may contain one or more questions or tasks. These questions may require closed, semi-constructed or open-ended answers, provided that in each exercise the score assigned to the total of open-ended and semi-constructed answer questions or tasks reaches at least 70 percent. Likewise, a single exercise model will be given for each subject. However, in some sections it may be possible to choose between several questions or tasks. This choice cannot under any circumstances imply a reduction in the number of specific skills subject to evaluation.

The Spanish language and literature II, co-official language and literature II and foreign language II exercises must be answered in the corresponding language. For the rest, the possibility of choosing between the official languages ??will be ensured.
