Beatriz Gómez, a former contestant on Big Brother and businesswoman residing in Madrid, drew attention from the first moment she entered the house of Guadalix de la Sierra. Her strong character and her controversial departure from the program in the first weeks of it made her one of the most controversial characters of that edition.
After her departure from ‘reality’, ‘la marquise’ took advantage of her popularity to gain a foothold on television. She participated in several Telecinco programs, as a collaborator of Ana Rosa Quintana and in A tu lado, where she had discussions with her ex-husband for the guardianship of her son.
Beatriz Gómez became very popular thanks to her participation in Big Brother, the successful ‘reality’ show on Telecinco, in 2005. After leaving the house in Guadalix de la Sierra, the woman from Madrid had a small career on television as a collaborator in spaces such as Ana Rosa’s program o A tu lado where she generated several controversies due to her discussions with her ex-husband over the guardianship of their son.
However, Beatriz Gómez did not last long on Telecinco and after a few months she disappeared from the media spotlight. In 2013, Kiko Hernández contacted Gómez to interview him on Kiko’s confessional, the blog that the Sálvame collaborator still maintains today on the Telecinco website.
In that interview ‘la marquise’ revealed that it was she who was pulling the cart in her relationship with Óscar Kindelán. Her stores were hers and she stated that it hurt her that it always seemed that the bad guy in the story was her. Likewise, the former Big Brother contestant confessed to Kiko Hernández that she was broke, homeless and that she and her son were living at the grandmother’s house in Majadahonda.
The truth is that after her retirement from the world of television, Beatriz Gómez’s public appearances can be counted on the fingers of one hand. The former contestant has no locatable social networks and although in 2015 she continued to use Twitter, today there is no trace of Beatriz Gómez on networks.
Its last appearance was in the year 2017, the last year that the standard Big Brother aired. That year, several ex-participants of the ‘reality’ held a reunion dinner that Bea also attended. Also at dinner were Alonso (GH 2), Dámaso (GH 12), Yola Berrocal (winner of Big Brother: The Reunion), Vitín (GH 15), Ari (GH 12 1), Iván Madrazo (GH 10), Rafa and Mario (GH 4) and Liz (GH 10), among others.
Mediaset cameras attended the meeting to collect the testimony of the former contestants and Beatriz Gómez spoke to journalists. ‘The marquise’ updated her personal status and she affirmed that, although she had lived through very hard years in which she came to feel alone, her situation was much better. Gómez said that she had redirected her life and she jokingly confessed that she no longer thought of marquises and that she was clear that what she wanted was to hunt down a director of an important company. Those were her last statements in public. Since then nothing has been known about ‘la marquise’ from Big Brother.
