Isabel Pantoja celebrates her golden wedding anniversary in the world of music. 50 years that the tonadillera plans to commemorate with several projects distributed throughout this year, but whose celebration could not take place in a more exceptional way: with an invitation to the Baile de la Rosa, in Monaco, on March 25.
Created in 1954 by Princess Grace of Monaco, the Rose Ball is an annual event that takes place in March at Sporting de Monte Carlo’s prestigious Salle des Étoiles. An unavoidable date, it brings together international high society in an exceptional event.
The singer will be one of the famous faces that will be present at the event, which has not been held for the last two years due to the crisis caused by the health crisis. At first, it was thought that the tonadillera had been invited by the Grimaldi family, but apparently not, her invitation comes from a mysterious businessman.
According to the newspaper El Mundo, the singer will attend with her brother, Agustín Pantoja, invited by a mysterious German millionaire who loves the arts and who for 40 years has reserved a table at the famous club where the prestigious event is held. The attendance of the singer’s brother is confirmed because Isabel would have received an invitation in her name specifying the possibility of bringing a companion, who, how could it be otherwise, will be her beloved Agustín of hers.
An event that undoubtedly fills the singer with enthusiasm, who has spent some of her most difficult months after losing her mother, Ana Martín, in a short time; and her older brother, Bernardo Pantoja.
“Look what life is, because throughout my entire life I have admired Grace Kelly and for Carolina [from Monaco] I have always felt an endearing affection,” the singer explained a few days ago to the magazine Hello!, confirming her attendance at the exclusive event, where he hopes to meet the princess, with whom he feels he has had “a very parallel life”.
“For me it is something very special because of that feeling that I tell you towards a person I do not know, that we do not have the same status, much less, but for me it is a pride. And they invite me now, in this year precisely, well for me I repeat, it’s a source of pride. I’m very grateful and, God willing, I’m going to go.”
It is not known if the tonadillera will have the opportunity to give that hug to Princess Carolina, since she is the great protagonist of the event as she is the president of the Princess Grace Foundation, the recipient of the funds raised in the event.
Isabel Pantoja, who has visited Monaco on previous occasions, will have the opportunity this year to see how designer Christian Louboutin transforms the place into a setting straight out of a Bollywood movie. Louboutin, a fan of Asian movies, has put all his effort into decorating the event, which promises not to leave anyone indifferent at this famous ball, which brings together the cream of high society.
A meeting in which there will be Bollywood dancers, performances by different artists, such as the Bassant group, the choreographers Kamal Kant and Megha Jagawat or Mika; and a dinner in which attendees have had to pay between 850 and 3,000 euros to attend -not Isabel Pantoja or Agustín, who are invited by their benefactor-.
