The PSPV is convinced that it was the PP. It is an anonymous pamphlet against President Ximo Puig, who is accused of having favored his brother, Francis Puig, other relatives and the party with allegedly irregular contracts. On Wednesday the PSPV announced that these pamphlets, which it described as a “garbage campaign”, had been seen in Alicante and that a complaint had been filed with the prosecutor’s office. But yesterday they arrived at the mailboxes in the city of Valencia. In fact, several citizens of the Patraix neighborhood had received them.
The Secretary of Organization of the PSPV-PSOE, José Muñoz, pointed out that “due to many coincidences it suggests that it is promoted by the PP” and that the content “seriously insults the image of President Ximo Puig, accusing him of crimes that he has not committed and uses illegally the corporate identity of the PSPV-PSOE”.
In this sense, the socialist leader has directly asked the president of the PPCV, Carlos Mazón, if “he is behind that garbage campaign” and has invited him to be brave and show his face.
“If they are behind them, let them say so and not be cowards,” claimed Muñoz, who described the promotion of these actions as “disgraceful garbage trafficking in Valencian politics” and noted that “it is no coincidence that the photographs used are the same used by Carlos Mazón’s PP in his last pre-election campaign”.
In his opinion, “these attitudes harm Valencian democracy” and regretted that “a party that calls itself democratic does not have the slightest red line and wants to come to power at all costs.” “It seems that some are a little nervous and see that the numbers are not reaching them, so they make the worst policy that can be done: low and without arguments,” he added.
