The Mossos have denounced three men for doing work without permission in Calaf and dumping the waste they generated in a farm in Calonge de Segarra (Anoia) and also in a selective collection area in Torà (Segarra).
In mid-February, the Calonge de Segarra City Council detected the illegal dumping. Among the waste there was household waste, rune sacks, old toilets, mattresses, electrical appliances, among others.
The agents discovered that the material came from a residence in Calaf where they were doing work. Those responsible do not have permission to make reforms and, instead of taking the waste to a waste management plant, they dumped it uncontrollably on a farm located in the middle of some cultivated fields.
The mossos informed those responsible that they had to remove all waste from the area and manage it specifically, through a waste manager or a green point. A few weeks later, the agents verified that the authors had removed the waste, but instead of taking all of it to the green point, part of it was left in a selective collection area in the town of Torà.
Given this, the mossos denounced the three responsible for carrying out incorrect waste management, as well as for not having a municipal works license. The events were notified to the Catalan Waste Agency and the affected municipalities.
