The Badalona Urban Guard has drawn up an administrative act for the alleged irregularity committed by the Popular Party by setting up an electoral tent without the mandatory municipal permit. From the City Council they confirm that it is an infraction of the municipal ordinances that the popular ones commit repeatedly and that for this reason today a written record has been left.

The PP, as it has been doing in the last weeks of the electoral campaign, installs information tents with the motto ‘Badalonisme’ of the candidate Xavier Garcia Albiol, in the different neighborhoods of the city. This Sunday was at the confluence of Calle del Mar and Passeig Marítim. Two agents of the Urban Guard have gone there to notify those responsible that they do not have permission for their installation. From the PP, however, they assure that “permission is never given, we enter the request and they are taken for granted.”

From the municipal government they have reacted with indignation to the popular response and detail that the request to obtain permission to install the tent was registered electronically on Saturday by councilor Miguel Jurado. The same sources affirm that “always, always, requests are answered, either affirmatively or arguing the negative” within the mandatory period of 48 hours, as demonstrated by providing other similar requests from the rest of the parties, from the PSC, Vox or Ciutadans, some of which has been denied. In this case, they regret that “it is the PP who repeatedly contravenes the regulations and who also lies to justify his mistake.”

In this case, as it is a purely administrative process, the agents have not made it necessary to dismantle the electoral facility. The act will enter a process that will result in an economic sanction against the Popular Party for violating the municipal ordinance.
