The Local Police of Malaga are investigating a 58-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against road safety for letting his eight-year-old son drive his car. The agents accuse him of being a necessary collaborator in the incident, which occurred last Sunday, March 19, coinciding with the Father’s Day holiday.

The minor was sitting in the driver’s seat at the controls of the car, while his father was in the passenger seat, as the local police officers could verify, who intervened by viewing a video recorded by a witness of the facts.

Specifically, tourism had traveled part of Las Malagueñas avenue, within the Cortijo de Torres Fairgrounds, as indicated by the Local Police in a statement.

In the video, the child is seen in front of a small car. Under the gaze of his father, the minor, without authorization or a driving license, moves slowly through an area where, at that time, there was not much traffic.

The local police officers located the vehicle in question parked in the area, as well as several people next to it, including the minor and his father, proceeding to identify them and supervise the car’s documentation.

After the identification, the security agents reported the facts to the Minors’ Prosecutor’s Office. The defendant agreed to accompany the local police officers to the offices of the Grupo de Investigación de Accidentes y Estados (GIAA), where he was summoned for a speedy trial.
